LaVita was born from the vision of professional ice hockey player Gerd Truntschka.
Even as a young competitive athlete, Gerd Truntschka, captain of the German national ice hockey team for many years, was already concerned with the optimal intake of vitamins and trace elements. At that time – in the early 1980s – the topics of sports nutrition and nutritional supplements were still in their infancy. Gerd Truntschka was particularly annoyed by the lack of concept: sometimes the focus was on vitamin C, sometimes on magnesium, then on carnitine.
From professional ice hockey player to entrepreneur.
Gerd Truntschka was already creating and optimising nutrition plans for himself and his teams during his active sporting career.
After more than 20 years of professional ice hockey, eight championship titles and an unrivalled 943 goals, he then concentrated on his second passion: nutrition and its influence on performance, concentration and the immune system.
His daughter asked him that one day. It was at this point that Gerd Truntschka realised that tablets could not be the solution. After all, optimising nutrition must convey a feeling of health, not illness. His daughter's question was the birth of LaVita as a liquid micronutrient concentrate as we know it today.

Gerd Truntschka was looking for a holistic solution.
His vision was to create a single product that combines as many positive properties of natural foods as possible – in order to simultaneously supply all the important vitamins and trace elements, secondary plant substances and other substances such as carnitine and coenzyme Q10.

Gerd Truntschka has been managing the family business together with his wife Silke since 1999.
The areas of development and quality assurance are still a matter for the boss. Daughter Sarah and son-in-law Ertan are also part of the management team today. Today, over 200 employees are committed to your health with a great deal of dedication, passion and expertise.
